For Volume and Contour Definition
Aging skin loses natural support structures that keep skin supple and youthful. As the years go by, collagen and elastin diminish within the skin, and this can result in wrinkles and creases. Radiesse is a wrinkle filler used to plump the skin; injected through a small needle and placed under the skin. Immediately, this filler works to add volume under the skin and over time, the benefits of Radiesse continue by naturally stimulating your body’s own natural collagen.
Radiesse Sterling Heights
Originally known as Radiance, Radiesse has been used extensively with long-lasting effects. Special advantages include:
- A biocompatible product that does not require pre-testing
- Completely natural feel undetectable from natural tissue
- Stimulates your natural collagen production
- Provides immediate full-correction results
- Long term appearance effect over 12 months
What makes Radiesse different from other fillers?
Radiesse is made of unique calcium-based microspheres that are suspended in a natural gel. As the gel breaks down, the tiny calcium spheres stimulate the production of new collagen growth. The tiny microspheres provide ascaffolding into which your body's own tissue can grow making sure the correction feels and looks completely natural.
What are Radiesse treatments like?
A simple out-patient procedure, your Radiesse injections are very similar to those of fillers such as Restylane. The procedure takes about 15 minutes. Injection discomfort is minimized or eliminated by use of a topical cream (ELA-Max) - or pain blocks may be performed immediately before the procedure. You may opt for injections given from inside the mouth for nasolabial folds and cheek augmentation. This method utilizes a fast-acting temporary block that is similar to that your dentist provides. With the block, your Radiesse injections are painless.
Following your treatment, you may immediately return back to daily activities, however, treatment sites may be somewhat swollen for 1-2 days. There is also potential for bruising at the injection site, which may be covered with makeup.
How long will the results last?
Depending on the areas treated, most of your Radiesse correction should last for many months, or even years. Patients usually see results that last between 1 to 2 years. Touch up treatments may be necessary to maintain your desired level of correction.
Can other filler products be used along with Radiesse?
Restylane may be used as a layer to fill the more superficial lines and wrinkles on your face. There is no restriction to using additional fillers.
Although long-lasting, Radiesse is not used for lip augmentation. Lip augmentation is performed with one of the Restylane products.
